The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is offering 4,000 free lawn tickets at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre at Encore Park for a concert on Aug. 15 that will close the 2009 Classical season and conclude with celebratory fireworks.
This ASO program features 16-year-old guest conductor Ilyich Rivas in his U.S. professional debut. The audience is encouraged to send questions via text message, which the young conductor will then answer in a live, on-site broadcast.
The event will also feature a pre-concert “Top of the Lawn” event, which will include a conversation with ASO insider Ken Meltzer and musician Juan Ramirez.
The free ticket giveaway is open to all Fulton county residents. Obtain free tickets by visiting the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre box office or the Woodruff Arts Center box office with proof of Fulton county residency.
